I saw this post about making sandpaper suns at No Time for Flash Cards and decided to try it with a little St. Patty’s Day twist. I gave Red a piece of sandpaper to paint.
He preferred using the brush over his fingers. It was a very course grit piece of sandpaper, so it might have felt too rough to him.
After it dried, I cut out a shamrock shape and glued it to some cardstock. I hung it up so he could feel the texture of the smooth paper against the rough sandpaper.
