Pasta Shaker.

Red and I made a pasta shaker instrument today. I first saw the idea here. We started off coloring a toilet paper roll with markers, and Red added on some extra fine motor practice on his own.

First he decided to put the markers through the tube.

Then he started taking the lids on and off the markers.

And he added in a little pincer grasp work by changing markers a lot. I let him pull them out himself.

We did get a little coloring in too. Then is was time to tape up one end of the tube and add the pasta.

When we were done, we did a little shaking to Shake Your Sillies Out by Raffi.
